I've been looking at future releases of WB:

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/studio...warnerbros.htm

They have a lot for Untitled movies. TR may occupy one of those dates (in fact, TR 2018 occupied the date that was destined for Flash)

I hope also for 2021 with no Star Wars they can actually maybe take the first spot without having to be against a Disney movie.

2021 it's perfect, they can choose the team during this year and next year's first half and begin shooting in the second half of 2020 and release it in mid/late 2021

It really wouldn't make sense for them to not aim for a 2021 release date. They'd be missing out on a lot of potential.

I wonder how this will turn out. They didn't seem all that excited after the first movie, but I guess it wasn't a complete bomb either.

I've been reading old Ben Wheatley interviews all morning and I really hope he becomes attached to this. His work ethic and knack for storytelling seems so good for this type of film and he really admires Amy. She doesn't do interviews but Ben hails her for editing the films and says she has equal power as a director because she decides what her script will be in the final form on his films. He also praises her for being a better writer than he is.

Their writing seems to be geared towards their actors which is probably why Alicia likes the writing style. I'm confident that if they want Alicia to stay on then they will keep Amy full term and things will progress quick. It also helps that Kristin is working on Ben's new film and had already expressed interest in returning as Ana.

They're not very mainstream but they're on Amazon Prime although that may vary depending on your region. They are all decent but all very different genres and certainly nothing resembling a Tomb Raider film. They're very different to the usual cinema fare my personal favourite is Kill List.

The female characters in his films are all very ballsy and well written and the fact Amy edits his films and writes them shows her style well. They all have good reviews on RT and are generally well received by the audience and film festivals.

If they chose Ben as director then I'm confident they'll retain atleast some amount of creative freedom and he will bring his team on with Amy writing and editing, Clint Mansell doing the music and Laurie Rose as cinematographer.

If this is the general direction expect a more self contained story with a smaller budget which isn't necessarily bad if they want the film to be more edgy and less paint by numbers than the first.
