I was gonna say the same thing. I feel like Drew/Chris is overrated in general. He was there for the worst season and his character wasn't even consistent. His character was just super annoying throughout Season 6. But he sticks around on these Charmed panels because he happens to be their son, when originally that wasn't the case.

I think that's why I dislike S5 and S6 so much. It became less about them being sister witches and more about 'protect the baby' and 'let's invent a load of rubbish about another child because Holly is pregnant this year'.

I know a lot of people felt the overall quality of S7 and S8 was lower than S5 and 6 but the former two at least brought it back to being about the 'Charmed Ones' rather than their overly powerful magic baby.

I completely disagree, season 5 and 6 were great seasons. Besides which they mostly explored the sisters relationship by season 5. What more was there to really uncover besides Paige's issue with growing up as an only child and having to learn how to rely on others which was a theme in season 4,5, and 6. I loved Chris and Wyatt, the story of how Wyatt really became evil and exposing the Elders as the extremists they could be. Then having Leo really change due to his trauma with older Chris getting murdered after having finally made a real bond with his son, it was super emotional and really good storytelling.

Season 7 to me is where the quality went down because it became more about their normal lives and the demons just didn't really have any meaning like they used to. Demons used to carry a theme with the overall story of the episode, like Prue and the ice cream truck.
