TLR was in 1999, this game was planned to be set between 2001-2002 according to the design documents. Her new mentor, the Shaman was going to die and she was supposed to return to London. And AoD was going to start. Soooo, something like two years.

Was that meant to have been the idea? Because I don't get the sentence "the tomb in Egypt has weakerned her"
I always so the AOD upgrade things as a trust issue with herself for Lara as she failed and almost died so she doesn't trust herself anymore. I don't think she really "lost" her aptitudes.

-"This gap is too big I can't make it, what if I fail like in Egypt ?"

*pushing a big thing/kicking a locked door*

Never thought of it that way, but it does actually make a lot of sense, and makes the whole thing not seem as ridiculous as it seemed.

Well, then.

-It's quite interesting to see the ghetto in nighttime. (wonder why they changed it.)
-Lara had duals by the galleries under siege. Maybe she picked them at Renne's?
-Wonder how you were supposed to arrive from the roof top in the first level, if that metal roof thing was climable.
- Kurtis' full upgraded weapon in action. (I don't remember seeing it outside of renders) I wonder if it means it is just disabled in the game, or is it a different gun entirely?


God, there's so much stuff we still don't know about this game...

Something that surprises me the most is that they almost tried the best they could to make facial expressions and animations by using Morph Targets. Games nowadays are way better in terms of animation of course ( thanks to motion captures), but watching this footage puts me into thinking that how much hard did they try to make all of those animations with just two hands and tedious clicking processes!

I Lol'ed so hard

Hey, does anyone think that Naughty Dog maybe used Kurtis as an inspiration for Drake's appearance design? They both sport a dark top, light pants and shoulder gun holsters.

No, imo he’s a crossover between Lara and Indiana Jones...
Even the first game was code named in development as ‘Dude Raider’
