A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

I always said that i dont get the hate the movie gets...but i watched it recently and i get it now.

Alone the whole structure and pacing is really bad.
You have a freddy that doesnt feel scary at all despite its try, a plot that while being okay is drowning and a mood that just never really works.

Its sad because you do have potential.
Jackie Earle Haley does a interesting take and has a good design, but the camera work doesnt help the character at all.
I looked at a few pictures and he looks scary, but in the movie itself he way too often looks more strange than scary.

Overall the movie visual does work, but nothing else outside of that does.

^ When I think of unnecessary remakes I think of Elm Street. It had all the creativity sucked out of it. Rooney Mara talked about how much she didn't care to be in the film and it shows. I much preferred Katie Cassidy's acting. (spoilers if anyone cares) I hoped that they would do a twist and have her survive instead of Nancy (spoilers over).

Blood & Treasure

Is it cheesy? Quite. But I freaking LOVED it!!! It was just the kind of show I needed this summer. So happy it's getting a second season!

It: Chapter Two

Not that bad, but weaker than the first. So. many. jump scares. They kind of got annoying after a while. Also, the CGI looked bad. What I liked were the actors, they did great, especially Bill Hader. The humour was funny, but they could have toned it down a bit, it was a bit much. It switched from jump scare to laughter too often. The length didn't bother me actually, I had no problem with the pacing. My favorite part was the ending, in IT's lair. I would give it a 6.5/7.

Stan & Ollie

Did I like it? Yes and Nope. Not sure if I want to know what's behind the scenes of a laugh.

Re watching Miranda on Netflix. Always makes me laugh, like proper belly laughs.

My son and I also watch this show called Mountain Monsters. We can only watch it via Facebook or YouTube. Basically it's a group of hillbilly type men who go to forests looking for Bigfoot, werewolves among other creatures. And then there's all the creepy stuff they keep encountering. I dunno how much of it is real and how much is staged, but it is entertaining, which is the main thing.
