she inherits another croft manor from her aunt, but her uncle steals it back so she has to find proof amelia died even though she's looking for her after she vanished, even though she just disowned her in person last week. rottr and sottr happen, then she's commissioned by natla again (who is resurrected, along with pierre, larson, kid, and kold), and blows up atlantis again. tri gold happens, then legend and underworld happen, and natla dies for like a 75th time.

like what. this isn't even factoring in the comics or films. lara would do yamatai twice in the same year and lord croft would die an extra two times. there's just no way they aren't alternate universes.

Yeah, no, this doesn't work. Like Boobandie said, it's not just the timelines and their events that are incompatible, all three Lara's are essentially different characters that would respond differently to each scenario. Best to keep them separated.

No thanks,

I can see The LAU/Classic Timeline being in the same universe, but due to timeline difference it altered certain events in history. (Like naming Henishingly/Richard)

But they're different universes so They can be the same people, doppelgängers, BUT have different names.

In the Survivor Timeline, Lara's mother would have been the og "Lara Croft" in the Classic/LAU timeline, but due to different events in history (such as being from the DeMornay family instead) she ended up having Lara Croft as a child.

--------------
If Classic/LAU Lara were alternate timelines (like Barry allen's flashpoint), we can call it Crystal Point! Natla messed with the timeline and wanted Lara to die in the himalayas. However, rather than Lara die, the mother died.

JK!

If they loop all this around to TRU Natla STILL being alive and messing with the timeline to finally defeat Lara Croft... was AOD really bad enough to warrant changing developers?
