Saints Row The Third. I actually thought it was a brilliant sandbox game, and also loved the previous games in the series.

A great game, though a bit too much talking and unfortunately, quite disappointing ending.

Festival of Blood.

Really enjoyed it. Short, but fun. Glad I got it when it was on sale ages ago.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 (4th or 5th play)

Love it more and more every time I finish it

The paradigm system, new abilities, Mon-raising and limit breaks and the ability to change leader if either character dies - love all of it Gameplay is fun, story was engaging and had the right balance of darkness and light heartedness (though it seemed like a bit of a whiplash at times) and the opportunity to see more of Serah (considerable upgrade in characterisation and development, considering she was a paperweight for all of XIII ) and other characters (but lack of Fang and Vanille for the most part was saddening).

Also, despite being one of (if not the) saddest endings in all of the Final Fantasies I've played (T_T why, Serah why?), the true ending (the Requiem of the Goddess ending) has a flicker of bittersweet hope at the end.

The one criticism I have is some of the dialogue; at certain points, all Serah and Noel seem to do is repeat events that have happened less than half an hour ago. True, the game does let you skip off to some other place/time at any point during a linear story-chapter (usually), and some people complained about the masses of reading/exposition only divulged in the Datalog from XIII, but that kind of reading would have been worth it if it had saved the repetition of events from Serah and Noel at every single new gate in my opinion.

Anyway, overall, the game is absolutely wonderful (9/10) - I just have to wait now for the urge to play it again In the meantime... *turns on PS2 and finds Final Fantasy X on the shelf *

Silent Hill 1.

It was really cool, actually really scary. It was a short, sweat, terrifying adventure. I got the worst ending apparently, but I love how your ending isn't a black and white 'pick your ending' decision. I will definitely return to Silent Hill 1, and may buy the HD collection if it's at a good price.
