Anything but reboot gameplay would be fine by me. Tired of scrambling around like an unsophisticated hobbit. Also hate the transversal. There is zero danger in dying, all of its right there and she just magically glides to the whatever is the next scripted ledge to grab.

I will say LAU had much better gameplay then reboot. Although it too lacked danger in platforming.

I want some damn danger. Most of the time you die in reboot because of stupid combat because of the hobbit scramble and terrible aiming system for something so fast paced or you die because of a bug where the script for Lara to grab something fails to load. Like the street lamp in the tsunami in Shadow.

Gurl, y'all need to fix this, strip the cinematic gameplay and give me a real game to play.

While the magnetism started there, it would be an improvement, LAU had the perfect combat for TR IMO with how it handled dodging/melee.

I actually think LAU had the best combat scheme... I mean sure the platforming had no challenge whatsoever but in general, the movement was better.

Level design. I don’t think Crystal struggle with gameplay per se, more their levels aren’t very ambitious. It’s what I noticed made all of the difference in Shadow; EM used the same gameplay, but in a world designed more in favour of platforming, exploration and puzzles.

A balance between the two components would be ideal though.
