I tried a lot to think of something. I might still remember something and if I do I'll put it there. It's just that everything I can think TReboot games did was done either better or equally as good by previous TR games, and that the things TReboot added were either unnecessary, neutral or bad (by bad I mean un-TR-like). And that all the many things it changed were for the worse.

- boss fights from first game - diverse environments and enemies from second game - rocket launcher from third game - Egypt from fourth game - breaking into somewhere wearing a catsuit looking sexy as hell from the fifth - Urban environments, gothic theme, denim outfit and sprint jump LAU: - personality from anniversary - extremely diverse theme of each area, globetrotting, huge wardrobe (idk maybe everything) from Legend - rock climbing and acrobatic moves from underworld Reboot: - Running for your life while everything around you explodes type set pieces making you look like a surviving hero and an Intense finale level (just like scaling the zigurat which gets intense as you ascend plus a proper creature like the oni as a boss) from the first game. - Lara's ultra detailed skin textures and beauty from rise. - Color pallete and levels like path of huracan and the path home from shadow. Everything i said is just mixed and may not be possible together but this is what i like about each game |

- Better designed levels. The levels should feel like a page-turner book where you just have to see what's on the next page. A lot of the time (not always) the current levels are beautiful but generic and dull. And that's because the activities and reveals within them are often trite and / or predictable. I could write a long paragraph about this and did start to, but basically, the levels and things that happen in the game need to be more interesting. I think Shadow did actually do some great things here, so I applaud that and want them to carry on and do more. And get more ambitious and start putting in more interesting happenings in TR. - A more mysterious mystery Put in the unexpected - dinosaurs, Area 51, London underground disused tube station, Louvre museum, 40 fathoms under the sea............ And then make the story more mysterious than "in the past, Lara's mother / father / uncle did some well intentioned stuff that meant that they found something "magical" and a load of bad guys came after them............ 20 years on, Lara must now put all this right by following her father's notes and interests" LAU - Time travel The diases gripped me because they crossed time, although unfortunately that part was never explored really beyond Legend. I would love for it to be picked up again and woven into a compelling mystery. - Egypt I thought this was done beautifully in TRA and wouldn't mind seeing a better, upgraded more fully fleshed out Egypt in future games. Reboots - Realistic looking worlds and characters. I would like supernatural things to occur but within a realistic / grounded world as I find the supernatural / unusual more terrifying in a world that is otherwise fully grounded than in a cartoon universe. I do not want the game to turn cartoon, looks wise or gameplay (jumping on people's heads whilst shooting guns wise) either. I know I'm probably in a minority on here, but still. - Fleshed out storylines I sometimes don't rate the stories but I do appreciate that the new games have attempted to flesh out the stories more fully than in say, the classics. |

Classics:
- Dual Pistols, braid, and shorts - Certain stunts and acrobats - Supernatural elements - Complex and labyrinth type levels - Levers and key items (with some modifications) - Lara's wittiness - Diverse weapon selection - Globetrotting - Traps - Secrets system LAU: - Storytelling (minus parents drama ) - Globetrotting - Outfit selection Reboot - Documents and relics (with some modifications) - Climbing axes - Shadow's puzzles (not the rope puzzles) - Optional tombs* (Not in the same sense as Reboot series, but rather have tombs hidden off the main path that houses a secret. This is where the Classic secret system comes into play.) |

Classic:
- Lara Croft (personality, iconography, backstory, you know, the whole package) - Classic theme - Focus on exploration/platforming - Level design / levels as puzzles - Atmosphere - Perfect balance between light and tense moments - Consistent jumping distances/momentum - Globetrotting/diverse environments - Inventory puzzles (keys, combining items) - Combat NOT focused on hordes of enemies - Enemy variety - Traps LAU: - outfits as rewards from finding collectibles Reboot: - Manual-aim (but the combat system itself needs to be seriously overhauled) - Shadow's Monolith Riddles (but make them lead to something actually interesting) - Translation puzzles - Physics-based puzzles* - Documents and Collectibles (but maybe tone them down a bit. I like finding the artifacts and journals from previous explorers for example, but stuff like the cashes that are just a blinking light in the environment don't interest me at all). - Challenge Tombs* and Crypts* but not in detriment of the main story (i.e. don't delegate Tombs only to side stuff) - Stealth (*as seen in Shadow — they were the best in the Reboot trilogy) |

Okay, I really liked the action sequences, but they are very short and very rare. I also like that the player can see that Lara is cold after diving into a river and being to long in a snow storm. BUT that gets annoying pretty fast. |

@Legends Wow, when you put it that way, it's impressive how they took the worst in gaming and put it in the games. The only things missing were aggressive microtransactions and being a bugfest at release, but the rest is all there. And even though it does these things relatively well, the fact it does all of this makes it very generic.
