So no more Jacqueline Natla?

Since I made this thread a long time ago:
I’ve been thinking for a while: imagine if all the classic Tomb Raider games had been rebooted in the same way as the newer Tomb Raider titles. What struck me the most is how they might have wanted to really do this before removing the letter from Natla in the final scene of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It’s fascinating to consider how incredible, or even worse, it could have been. What do you think about that?

Natla is wonderful and has a great arc in TR1 with a epic ending.

I think they had started to think about the unified thing back then

But... They realized it was better to close off Shadow as its own thing and not put unified things in it and looking back I have to say, they did the right thing!

Imagine we got the Manor dlc as we wanted back then... Then it wouldn't be a surprise when we (hopefully) will have a glorious manor in the next game

Personally Natla is over done by now. We need new characters and villains. I simply don’t understand why people want her back. This is a reboot and it’s time to introduce something new. Loved her in the first PS1 game and anniversary but no more please.

We already had new villains with the Survivor Trilogy, Guardian of Light and the Netflix anime. They all sucked and failed to leave any impact. Not a single one of them was remotely memorable.

Natla has already taken a 16 year break from the franchise so its about time she made another comeback. I'm up for another Von Croy adventure to if the story is set prior to the Angel of Darkness.

That was a lame ending for the character. She's already survived far worse than the blue goo plus it wasn't even Lara that finished her off. We had to settle for her cheap goth knock off.

If Natla is to go out it should be in an epic final battle against the real Lara. Thankfully that awful Truth Seekers board game has already confirmed Natla officially survived the events of Underworld and its DLC.

Drive: Conquer humanity and birth a new age

Description: Once a member of the ancient triumvirate that ruled Atlantis, Jacqueline Natla wielded great power. In an attempt to prevent the stagnation of the Atlantean civilization through forced evolution and an incredibly powerful artifact known as the Scion, Natla worked secretly to create mutant beasts that would wipe out civilization, resetting the clock.
