If it was a game about an African mythology or there would be a white god I would have said the same thing.
This is called a coherent universe.

Yes and ? You want to know if a white man playing the role of an Egyptian would bother me?
Yes it bothers me, a white man is not an Egyptian, just common sense.
Do you really understand what I mean by all this?

This is his modus operandi, by now obvious.
Is that kind of person there ? I see, but not really surprised.
Thank you for the warning.

Fiction or not, it is important to have a coherent universe.
In Avatar they all have blue skin, but if we add a red na'vi without explanation, you would not ask questions ? Why is it red ? Why is he here ? From which tribe does he come ? Because I do.
As I said, a coherent universe.

To add, ‘whiteness’ isn’t just about the lack of melanin. It’s way more complex and often misunderstood. When we say ‘white people,’ we usually talk about those with relatively recent colonial heritage, and any negative labelling usually stems from xenophobic ignorance and entitlement.

We can also throw around ‘Caucasian’ to mean white people, but it originally referred to people from the Caucasus region, so it can get messy. In places where locals aren’t historically from that background, light-skinned descendants of colonists are typically just called ‘white.’

Source: I’m a pale-skinned African with equal parts British and Arab ancestry, and in most parts of Africa you’ll find that black people are simply called ‘African’ while white/melanin deficient people are just ‘white.’ Still, slapping a colour on someone’s entire identity can be reductive, even a bit derogatory. Because there’s a lot more to who we are under the surface

Albeit, Arabs are Arabs, culturally we are extremely similar and back during the days of Al Sham, intermingled and considered our history as one hence why we were educated in school about everything from ancient Egypt to Babylon as the “origins of the Arab world”. This is even before Islam or Christianity or any of the sort. You are looking at very different cultures and populations from a lens in which you understand your identity which is of course, natural.

However, it is not the reality in the Arab peninsula. Right now you see nationalism in the Arab world quite potent, but in the entire history of the region this is an extremely young concept.

Consequently, our bloodline lineage is also extremely mixed especially within Palestine, which was an integral part of the Silk Road. I have Egyptian, Turkish, Italian, Russian and Algerian blood in me. My grandfather was black, and my mother is white passing as am I.
I do not think that your particular case of multi-ethnic origins can be extended to all Palestinians and all Egyptians.

I know well that the Islamic Caliphate and Arabic culture and literature unified you in the past, just like Europe was once unified under the aegis of the Roman Empire and then by Christendom and its empires, but, as you rightly say, the Arabic-speaking world has also long since entered the era of nationalisms, which have revived local ethnic identities.

I do not think that well-known Egyptians proud of their local history, such as the archaeologist Zahi Hawass, or the aforementioned Bassem Youssef (by the way, did you listen to what he says in that interview?), who, by the way, also happen to have typical native Egyptian physiognomies, would agree with you.

And if there isn't a physical copy on day one of release even more crazy releasing digital and physical versions several months apart is stupid, release both on day one and let people pick which version they want.

I'm going to wait for the physical version I bought the digital version of TR1-3 Remastered not knowing that there would be a physical version released eventually then I bought the physical copy deleted the digital version and installed the disc version.
.
I won't be a slave to digital only games that can be taken away without warning, the road from digital only games to Skynet is much shorter than people think especially with AI now being a reality.

Personally I wouldn't care because I have bigger issues to care about in my life than the skin color of a fictional character in a movie, but that's just me.

Before this thread goes down, I just want to say that anyone defending this scene should be in jail. It's interesting (and confusing) watching people defend what is effectively CP just because 'WOKE CENSORSHIP' - since when is it woke to not want children sexualised, real or not?

I think black people exist in the GoW universe, lol. Angrboda being black as a member of the Norse pantheon is about as fantastical as Kratos being covered in the ashes of his family, or anything else in those games.
