Does anyone play with a controller on the PC? I know it's a big ask, (for any old game let alone AOD), but it would be nice to use one to play a version with all the mods/updates.
I've tried Steam's Big Picture Mode and it's a bit weird, I can't reassign all the buttons - the overlays pop up a lot, and the analog sticks don't work. The game picks my controller up itself which works almost flawlessly except I can't map an inventory button. I guess I could do a combination of this and Xpadder maybe? Quote:

the changelog makes note of this actually
However, there is a small error inherent to the game that I can't fix; when Lara asks Janice about Bouchard, she says "I'm looking for someone you might know. Name of Bouchard." The subtitles display, "I'm looking for someone. Name of Bouchard." This text is shared with what Lara asks the herbalist, so it can't be changed.

^ Ahhh, my mistake - sorry! But thanks for explaining, that's pretty interesting
![]() Re: Controllers, I managed to get an Xbox One controller to work just with the in-game configuration and then using JoyToKey to map the inventory button as Tab. Using it with the modded camera-relative controls is a good experience! Unfortunately the right analog stick doesn't move the camera but it's not really been a problem (so far). |

Has anyone ever had an issue where the game crashes when you go to remap the controls? Ever since I installed the game on my new laptop, it's been giving me all of these weird issues.

sorry, i haven't had many issues with AoD on PC. aside from the usual ones.
------ Hey, if I was able to port my Text Cleanup to the English PS2 version would anyone be interested? I mean, I say "if," but I've already been able to do so for the PAL version. The PS2 control names work and everything. Examples: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Specifically for the PAL version: I think I can permanently patch in Sasho's run speed as well, from the PCSX2 PNACH codes I listed here. But that'll take me a little bit b/c I have to turn on my old laptop.

Thanks Delroj! It'll have to undergo testing, bear in mind. That, and I won't be making a run speed patch for the NTSC-U version, only the PAL version. I might give it a try eventually.
