I commend anyone on the classic side of the fandom who still feels the same passion as they did before. They just aren't throwing us enough of a bone to get excited about.
7 long years indeed. At least in the early years of the reboot we got Temple of Osiris and Lara Croft Go. Now there's just no love for the older fans. Poor attempts at classic skins isn't enough.

Tomb Raider is now a completely different game so I don't care for it the way I did growing up with the earlier games. I'll always care for TR1-TRU but I really doubt whatever they do next is going to impress me. There's just been too many disappointments in a row now. I'm expecting the worse.

I kinda stopped caring as much after Rise. I still immensely enjoyed Shadow, but my overall interest in the franchise had dwindled. I hope whatever they do next feels fresh and self-contained – I do not have the patience for another overly dragged out trilogy.

I'm still interested in what happens to the franchise, and I'm wondering if we'll ever go back to a more ... Tomb-Raidery style.
The lack of news is tiring, though.
Fortunately there's other games around to help pass time. Once they announce something I'll decide wether it's worth investing time or not.

I've stopped caring that much ever since I stopped being that much of a regular poster here . The constant drama and meticulous tearing down of Lara , the games and all that crap have toned down my enthusiasm , there are times where I just suddenly hate Lara (all versions) and don't feel like playing any "official" TR game , maybe it's then when I download a TRLE level and play it just to pass time .

Yeah I won't lie the fandom does kill my hype for the future sometimes. I try to remain hopeful though, especially with next gen coming.

I care - that's why I'm still here.

Right now I’m mainly excited for the next TR movie (and that one I am very excited about so hopefully they will start shooting as soon as Covid lets them).

The next game, not so much I’m afraid. The reboot games just isn’t my cup of tomb raider tea I suppose. They have some qualities that I like, but they just don’t get me excited the same way other TR games has. I think the reboot series got a bit stale for me halfway through Rise tbh and as a result when Shadow was released it felt more like a chore to pick it up than a joy.

I suspect if the first news/leaks from the next game appears to be much the same as the previous reboot games then my excitement for it leading up to its release will be very low. If however, the next game appears to have shaken things up a bit and looks to be a very different experience then my enthusiasm will likely increase significantly.

Yes, in lots of ways I just don't care any more.

I have my preferences of course and when we discuss things on here, I will state what they are to have the conversation. But I don't have the expectations I used to.

I remain interested as it falls into the genre of games that I enjoy as a gamer but I'm not into it like I once was.

I didn’t care for 8 whole years. It’s natural.
I was a more casual player though.
