It's a pretty wild ride into the human psyche. |

one that most people here haven't seen is Red Cliff, it's a fantastic Historical Fiction film based off of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel [which is a dramatic telling of historical events]

Strange Days
Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, and Juliette Lewis in a neo-noir sci-fi thriller written and produced by James Cameron. If you've played Cyberpunk 2077, this movie is basically the concept of black market Brain Dances turned into a movie, called SQUIDs here. |

Thoroughbreds - Did I recommend that one already? I don’t think so. Amazing psychological drama about two very disturbed young rich girls.

----------- Frailty Directed by Bill Paxton (of Aliens fame). Matthew McConaughey is in it too, but despite this I don't know may people who've seen it. I won't give anything away but say it was a gripping story that kept you guessing throughout. A very chilling story. The imdb blurb for it is: A mysterious man arrives at the offices of an FBI agent and recounts his childhood: how his religious fanatic father received visions telling him to destroy people who were in fact "demons." |

I'm pretty sure these movies are not that unheard of. But I agree, they're amazing. Especially Midsommar... it made me feel uneasy and anxious the whole time, and not because of the gore. The relationship dynamic, the cheating & lying just felt so tense. You know a movie is good, when it makes you feel certain things...
