Can anyone confirm if there are different Uzi sounds between NTSC and PAL? I know atleast one of them has the default psx exclusive sound (same used in NTSCJ the only one I know)

That looks really bad... I would be really upset if I bought the early model and realised that it's actually subpar to later ones. It doesn't look like 256 colours though, more like 65535 colours.

Any idea how many of such models were sold and for how long?
