Default Tutorial - Replacing models in TRIV

NOTE: Always backup your files!

For this tutorial you'll need
Wadmeger: https://www.trsearch.org/tool/5/download
Fexmerger: https://www.aspidetr.com/download/to...r-version-3-1/
The level editor: https://www.tombraiderchronicles.com/vista/trle.html

Start off by installing the editor (installing it in your user files folder is highly recommended)
After that you're all set to go

In this tutorial we'll be replacing Lara's model in the Lost Library level from TRIV. I'll be using one of the outfit's from Matrix54's Battle Arena.
Get then here: https://www.trsearch.org/item/4581
I want the AOD one.

First thing, you are going to do is open wadmeger, click on the "load wad" button on the left. Search for one of the .wad files included with the editor, they are in editor>graphics>wads. I'm going to use tut1.wad

Now click on the load wad button, this time on the right side. And open up the item you just downloaded - in my case it's the anniversary outfit.
Click the copy button right in the middle. You'll be prompted to replace it, click yes. Click on save wad, save it as tut1.wad in the same spot you loaded it from, that's very important.

Next we'll be converting our wad into a .TR4 file. Open up tomb2pc (it's in your level editor folder!)

Click the add button and look for tut1.tom Click on "build all" on the right corner. Now we have a .TR4 file that includes your modified model.

It's now time to open Fexmerger to add it to our game!

Open fexmerger and on file, go to open source and look for tut1.tr4 in your editor's data folder.

Still on file, click on load target, now it's time to look for the TRIV level you want to modify. Since we want to edit the Lost Library level, we'll look for library.tr4

You should have something like this:

Check the box on the left screen for Lara skin and Lara skin joints.

Then click on the big "MERGE" button in the middle. Go to file>save as>library.tr4 (don't forget to write the file extension!) Save it somewhere you'll find.

Now we have a .TR4 file ready to be replaced. Head to your TRIV installation folder, go to data and replace the library.tr4 file. Load the Lost Library level and you now have a brand new outfit to play in TRIV.

You can really go crazy and replace all types of stuff. This video is a classic example:
