Play better quality fmv's?

Is there any dll or tool (that isnt Peixoto's patcher) that allows the game to play better cutscenes?

I mainly wanted to use the psx ones from the core-design site that are avi format.
I converted one of them to the .bik format to test but the game wont load them, just crashes, same issue in tomb raider 4
