Default Skipping the Dragon in Citadel Gate

Discovered this trick some time ago. Never seen anyone use it or it being documented anywhere so figured I'd share. Basically this trick helps you skip the Dragon in Citadel Gate. Only tested this on the PC version so not entirely sure if it works on the PS1 version but I assume it will. Will post images with illustrations.

First of all you want to run towards this corner.

Then set yourself up at a 45 degree angle approximately like you'd do for any other trigger skip/corner bug.

Then just jump forward and voilą, you have skipped the trigger for the Dragon!

Not a peep though any further and you'll burn...

Figured this might come in handy for No Loads/No Meds runs and Speedruns. An additional perk of skipping the Dragon is that the Locusts will also stay inactive on this level since the Dragon is responsible for those.

Nice find, but it's already known. The reason as to why this is not widely used is due to rules and routing; NLNMAS runs are generally done without glitches, and both the any% restricted speedrun route (category without the newest warps) and the old any%, do not even approach the area this way.

Any% restricted:
