Thanks for clearing that up for me, it's too bad it can't be fixed but it's not a big issue !

I just have one question...why not? I mean, if tomb1main is doing that and TR2Main is adding the footstep sounds, why can't the tomb5 project just add one pesky little animation? I mean, clearly people aren't going to stop asking about it and it doesn't strike me as something that would take much effort...but then again, I know nothing about programming.

The ability to add a pesky little animation is more than general modding allows ;p feels like if they haven't done it already, there may be a reason.

Adding animations/frames to a compiled level is likely one of the hardest things to pull off without causing bugs (just look at trviewer)

Animations are tied to object data, which is tied to addresses stored in the level file
Then frames are tied to data in the animation data chunk, which also needs to be in order
Moreover, frames are stored as mere offsets rather than actual frame data, not to mention it's all superpacked (which was done to fit on PSX).
I spent about a week a while ago trying to figure out how to import all this stuff on the fly, in-code, since I'm not a fan of level file modding (speaking of which, if anyone wants to, you can find a tool that does it and just do it yourself, I just don't want level file mods including in my project, hence why I wanted to do it on the fly)
and I got nowhere, in fact, before I could even finish up, things started breaking. (I specifically remember one of the scorpions becoming completely flat, was actually funny)
So to answer your assumptions, yes, it actually takes a lot of effort to do without it breaking much.

When to expect the next update? its been about a year i think since the last update, also is there a Discord server for this project to stay updated there?

About the animation is it possible to load Lara(only the first object) from Del.trc level and use that instead of the one in the other levels since it has all the animation except one?

Works fine, improves graphics, but first level splash screen now shows Lara's home instead of Opera splash screen. Is it intended?

Edit: yes, this is the option to turn on TR4 style load screens it's in the config. It's just turned on by default.

Also, are these recompilation mods supposed to be used with dgVoodoo2 or without them? I had that already installed.
