Eckhardt's voice actor Joss Ackland has passed away.

This came up on my news feed a few minutes ago, the name Joss Ackland didn't ring a bell until I went through his filmography and saw that he played the part of Eckhardt.

He reached a beautiful age. So many iconic lines that still run through my head on a daily basis. I can’t image an Eckhart without this man’s voice

I remember he was the bad guy from Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. His voice is unmistakable; it's as much a part of AoD's soundtrack as stilted piano notes playing over a cello with occasional horn flourishes
