Default FLEP custom patches: updates, testing and discussion (Round 2)

About
FLEP (FLExible Patcher) is a revamped and updated derivative of TREP's custom patches module. It is compatible with the latest TRNG version of tomb4.exe.

Installation Instructions
1. Download the zip archive with the FLEP program itself.
2. Download the zip archive with custom patches.
3. Unpack the main program and the custom patches in the same folder.
4. Copy "flep.dll", "msvcp100.dll", "msvcr100.dll" and "tomb4.exe" into your TRLE game folder (overwrite tomb4.exe when prompted)
5. Launch FLEP.
6. Apply the patches you want, then press the "Modify" button.
7. Copy "patches.bin" into your TRLE game folder.

Welcome to the new FLEP thread! The old one was getting too confusing and with Lwmte no longer involved in FLEP, we figured it would be best to start a new thread that we have full control over!
The patches are now hosted on github. That means the link in the first post will always be up-to-date and there's no need to hunt for the latest version in the thread somewhere

What does 'safe flare throw' mean? Does it prevent Lara from prioritising getting rid of spent flares over grabbing a ledge during a jump? That would be very useful indeed!

It allows Lara not to throw flares in the worse of moments, or according to the patch itself: Prevents Lara from throwing away a worn out flare while she is jumping or falling.
Pretty important imo

Question

Hi everyone,

This is probably still not possible with FLEP, but let me check just to be sure.
In my released level, I used Distance Fog only during the load screen with AkyV's plugin "PARAM_MENU_TRIGGER".
After 27 tick frame, Enable Volumetric FX (Disable fog Distance).
Is this possible with flep?
If so, I really want to use flep, because I want to use particle(dust) effect.
