I agree about the flashlight, I could barely see the area above the water in the beginning of the game.

I still get a black screen with howling monkeys and stupid birds.. Those noises are really starting to get on my nerves...

WHERE ARE YOU EM/NIXXES? DON'T YOU ****ING REALIZE THAT THANKS TO US THE ****ING FANS YOU HAVE JOBS?

And no I will not chill.. I even reinstalled Steam and everything on this PC.. except for WINDOWS. Every driver, program and even Steam.
People with weaker machines can play the game, but I can't!

I mean how much patience can one person even have, I don't even care if this will get me banned, what I have said is the truth.

THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!

@AimlessThunder

Months ago I had incredible FPS loss on an older game, despite my powerful GPU and up-to-date drivers. It appears that by updating my drivers over the course of the months, some files entered in conflict resulting in my FPS issue.

Have you tried a clean and complete uninstall of all your drivers, caches, etc., rebooting, installing the most recent drivers, rebooting and try again?

You should try installing Display Driver Uninstaller, it's a software with that exact purpose.

Nixxes have threads over on the official SE forums. Some of you may want to check there. Here is one for starters. It might help.

I did not tried Display Driver Uninstaller, but I manually deleted and uninstalled and reinstalled every driver.

You said you didn't reinstall Windows... Well you know what to do. That's the easiest and fastest solution now.
Install Windows 10 btw.

Manually won't do it. Drivers always install some hidden files caches and stuff. There's always a trace. Try DDU, you have nothing to lose at this point.

Oh and deactivate all your antivirus when you launch the game.

I looked quickly on Steam's forum and Google and you seem to be part of a very small minority with this issue, so while I understand your frustration, blaming all of that on Eidos is unfair. Many people from a wide range of computer can run it. Therefore it's definitely on your end... Which means you can solve it.

Probably because they have some bug in the code.
The game, when you are playing, is connecting to eidos servers (check below) and somehow this process takes higher priority than game, what is causing the freezing.

My game was constantly freezing for 30-60 seconds in 30 minutes intervals.
Blocking every outbound connection for SOTTR.exe fixed that freezing for me.

Basically you do this to prevent a program from connecting to the Internet:

From start menu, search for "Firewall" and select Windows Firewall with Advanced Security

Choose Outbound Rules from the tree at the left.

Choose New Rule... from the menu at the right.

New Outbound Rule Wizard opens. This is really easy now:

a. Select Program as rule type.

b. Select the program's EXE file.

c. Choose Block the connection.

Choose the profile this rule applies to. If in doubt, select all three.
