Why is dgVoodoo mentioned? I think that that doesn't work with TR I anyway, since it's not a DirectX game.
Maybe I'm using the wrong emulator or I didn't find the right settings in ePSXe, but I've yet to manage to make a PS1 emulator sort the polygons correctly so that there's zero wobbling. That's a huge advantage of the PC versions and one of the main reasons why I still prefer playing those over the PS1 versions on an emulator. Also the textures of the PC versions look better (I think because the PS1 versions have less colours). |

I guess I should've highlighted it, but the edges of the bridge's floor being cutoff by the walls, making it look crooked. That whole platform should be rendered as a straight retangle but isn't. I just didn't want to have track down where I put the original and reupload. This rendering glitch didn't happen in any other version of the game except maybe the s3virge version of the game, a card famously referred to as a graphics DEcelerator.

Edit: found the original image and edited it. Apparently, I was just as lazy back then as I am now. Last edited by Kirishima; 28-04-20 at 20:04. |

Anybody know the equivalent of putting one's foot in their mouth for typing? I just noticed Kekko's 3dfx emulator had the same issue as the screenshot I posted a post or 2 back. Interestingly enough, other 3dfx emulators don't have the same issue. I would post a screen cap, but whatever I use to screencap didn't want to work with kekko's emu for whatever reason. Have an Nglide capture instead where the issue doesn't present itself:
Please excuse the size and darkness. I forgot I had dosbox and/or nglide set to 640x480, and the screencap software I used apparently didn't bother with the gamma. I'm also too lazy to edit atm. |

Speaking of dgVoodoo, I can't access the website because of a so called security/virus risk. This is a false positive right?

I would be deeply surprised if dgVoodoo contained a virus. I can access its website without warnings. There is even a notice about "permanent false positive alarms" on the website.

It's odd that this is flagged as a false positive so many times. Can't the AVs get it understood that it's safe?

If it is recognized as a threat, then the AV vendors must update their virus definitions. Maybe some vendors don't prioritize resolving false positives or they treat this case as marginal? As you can see here, Sardoc reported the dgVoodoo case:
