I saw this on the Sky News press preview last night, even a student saying a woman's place is in the kitchen would be enough for anti terror police to get involved.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...extremism.html

I can picture it now any student that makes a sexist comment will be detained and taken to a Guantanamo Bay type facility for extensive questioning and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens torture.

We're one step closer to Big Brother and 1984.

It was very briefly discussed for maybe 90 seconds before they decided to discuss seemingly more important weight loss injections.

The Sky News reporter said teenage boys face possible investigation by anti terror police if they make sexist remarks in class using powers originally intended to combat islamic extremism.

The Home Office has just released a statement to say that this story is totally false.

Putting aside whether or not it's false for the moment, this is ridiculous women can make sexist comments too so why is it that boys are being singled out, singling out boys for allegedly making sexist remarks is in itself sexist.

A long, long time ago between 2006 and 2010 I saw a job advert in a shop window the shop sold various types of bags luggage bags and handbags and so on, I asked about the job and the manager a woman said I couldn't have the job because I was a guy a year later the shop closed down.

If a guy said to a woman that she couldn't have a job because she was a woman there would be a massive 💩storm and people across the country would do 2 things 1 sharpen their pitchforks and 2 moan, whine and complain on Twitter.

Going back to the seemingly more important weight loss injections that they thought was more pressing to talk about, the Sky News reporter said to the guy sitting opposite him you don't look like you need weight loss injections.

Had he said that to the woman sitting next to the guy opposite him there would have been an instant massive 💩storm with people sharpening the aforementioned pitchforks, moaning, whining and complaining on Twitter and demands that he be immediately cancelled.

Will any teenage boy who makes allegedly sexist remarks be subjected to a Drumhead trial.

For anyone that's not familiar with Drumhead trials

A dumb decision that hasn't happened yet.

There was a debate on Sky News a short while ago about social media being banned for under 16 year olds.

The UK gets can try it but they won't be successful as it would be impossible to enforce unless the UK government plans to hire compliance officers to go to the house of everyone aged under 16 to check that they're not on Facebook and anyone that wants to be on Facebook will find a way to get on Facebook regardless of what the UK government thinks it can do.

This is no different than former British PM Rishi Sunak's plan to prevent people from ever smoking by raising the age at which they can smoke by one year every year.

Both Sunak's plan to prevent people from ever smoking and a ban on people under 16 year old are unrealistic and unenforceable.

Big Brother is watching all of us.

That's ridiculous. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there making money off the theory that social media is a harm, and the evidence simply doesn't support that.

As for smoking, it need to die, and I'm always amazed that anyone starts. The best you can do is raise the age to legally purchase cigs, and tax the hell out of it.

Nobody under the age of 18 or even near it now smokes anyway, it’s all vapes. Which btw are marketed plentiful in the UK in lots of lovely colours, basically undoing all the work they’ve done to prevent any glorification even down to the packaging of tobacco and cigs. Cigarillos funnily enough, no problem there with packaging yet some are cheaper than a pack of cigs(!) and without a filter actually worse for your health. It’s a total farce.

I can only wish it would make me as serene and super-functioning under stress like that, but it certainly helps

Girl... I had this happen for the first time all year last week. I've been taking anti-anxiety medications (Zoloft) since January.

I was busy working all morning and then got hit with a barrage of bad news. On top of that, I watched a video on a topic that was pretty upsetting to me at the time. Felt my entire body go numb and my vision went black. I nearly fainted. After lying down for a bit, I realized what had happened. It was a panic attack, and I was four hours late on my meds.

In a way, it was a good experience for me to have since it helped me make a connection that I never have before. All of the times I had fainting spells growing up, and my family hand-waived it as something that "runs in the family"... panic attacks you mean?

I'm so glad I live in a time where mental health is taken a lot more seriously.

Police wasting their time investigating stupid things like this
https://www.tombraiderforums.com/sho...ostcount=29326

There are times when I think that the human race is becoming so stupid that a dodgy haircut is now considered a hate crime which is everyday these days that one day the movie Idiocracy will become a reality.

Oh no!

It does go to show how amazing medication can be: life-affirming, life-changing in some aspects. It can get rid of symptoms that affect our quality of life. I used to be someone who had panic attacks on the daily, floods of tears, although I had the small blessing where my body didn't want to black me out!

Medication and therapy has helped me in leaps and bounds, and now I am able to pursue a holistic mixture with it through self-therapy enabling me to gain more control and sovereignty over my own life

It is a blessing we live in a time where mental health is taken a lot more seriously for sure!!
