Hello fellow Raiders!

Might be a funny post coming from someone who's had an account here for over 7 years, but I've only recently decided that it's finally time to get out there and properly engage in this forum - or at least try

A little bit about myself: I love allTomb Raider games (with my top being Rise, Angel of Darkness and Underworld), and I have a lot of love and respect for each iteration of Lara. I discovered the series through TR2013 when it first came out, but gradually expanded my horizons and made fantastic memories with all the other titles
This series is such a comforting, safe space for me. I love how much peace and happiness playing Tomb Raider has been giving me throughout my life.

So if it's not already apparent, I dislike all stuck-up, back-and-forth arguments about "the true Lara" or what makes "a real Tomb Raider game". They make me cringe so bad. I'm all about admiring the good in every TR game, as they really are all amazing adventures.

Apart from Tomb Raider, I'm a big fan of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Portal, Half-Life, Borderlands, Fallout and Amnesia. And when I'm not playing games, I love listening to music. My favorite artists are Madonna, Poppy and MARINA, but I have so many more that I like and could talk about for hours upon hours I also enjoy learning languages, currently honing my Japanese, which I'm very proud of!

Three random bonus facts:

-My favorite classic TR level is Thames Wharf.
-If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to pick a least favorite TR game, I'd probably say TR Legend.
-I'm a proud owner of a picture disk vinyl with the amazing club banger 'Angel of Darkness' by Alex C. & Yasmin K

I had made my account back in 2020, and was sort of the same: didn't properly engage in the forums for a couple years after making the account.

I love Resident Evil and Silent Hill aswell, and find joy in every Lara Era too.

I very much enjoy Japanese culture and philosophy. I've got Genki 1, but yet to actually crack it open and get to properly studying. Most of what I taught myself over a decade ago has pretty much slipped my grasp.

It doesn't look like we have too much in common when it comes to our favourite Tomb Raider games, favourite Tomb Raider levels or videogames in general that we like.

Welcome. I'm a fan of Core Era Tomb Raider with the Legend series coming in second. Just imo, there is a best Lara Croft and it's the original one. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes so, to each their own.

Of course! I think it's all good as long as everyone's chill and makes room for other people's opinions, which you guys seem to be good at OG Lara IS badass, there's no denying that. I'm so happy to see she's having such a revival with the Remasters right now - she deserves the spotlight.
