I'm telling you, the Tidy Cats Breeze is wonderful. No litter track. I actually wash and re-use the pellets. (I have two batches so I rotate.) I don't even scoop. I use dog poop bags to pick out the solids.

I feel like my life is falling apart. There was a huge fire in my house last weekend which i started myself during psychosis. and I have to leave my house very soon but I have no place to stay. I might just end up on the street. Even worse, my therapists might think it’s not safe for me to live by myself. I hope to hear more next week, different groups of people are gathering who are associated with me so I pray something good comes out of it.
I’m trying my best to put my mind off things, and started an art page. I posted a link in the fan art section for those interested. Nothing commercial, just wanting to share my art with the world, trying to keep sane. Trying to post a drawing at least once a day. Here’s a link for those interested: https://www.instagram.com/malferinkart/ Sorry for the trauma dump but it’s all a bit much atm. Quote:
If I get a new house the first thing I will be doing if I’m doing good mentally is getting a cat. I’m missing having a pet after so long. Last edited by malferink; 20-06-24 at 11:07. |

I'm so sorry to hear this, Malfernik. As you say, it is a lot. Are there orgs that are trying to help you find new housing?

I get the impression you're in the EU? The photo you posted of yourself sometime ago suggest you may be in the Netherlands if I am correct. I am asking because I know it is commonplace within the EU to allocate those struggling as you are to either supported housing or supported independent living programs. I imagine this would be very helpful for your safety as you get to a place of feeling more at peace, and could very well be on the agenda already. It is totally within your rights to ask for that and anything else you may feel more comfortable with so you can feel safe and heal. Do you think you have all the information you need, and confident with who you are talking to? I cannot imagine how you must be feeling, but I am so glad there are people from the healthcare side (especially if you're in the Netherlands where there is a very decent amount of investment in public healthcare) that can be there for you. I also really hope your family and friends are there. Luna and I wish you a warm and speedy recovery! Please keep us posted, and if you just wanna talk or blow off some steam - this thread and my DM are always open. Last edited by Bashar; 20-06-24 at 14:41. |

@malfernik, oh my god, that's horrible!
If you want to talk my dm's are open. I really hope things get better for you. Just don't forget that things can always change for the better. It's most important to have hope. |

Thank you all so much. <3 that’s really sweet of you.
@Bashar, I do live in the Netherlands and healthcare isn’t perfect but compared to other countries it’s pretty good I guess. There’s multiple organisations involved and they’re having a big meeting (government, health care professionals, police, etc.) which I’m not a allowed to attend, but which I will hear more about next Wednesday. I hope some help comes out of it. I’m a bit scared they think I’m clinically insane and that I’ll be forced to live in an protected environment but I’ve always been a perfectly functioning adult with a nice job. I still have lovely friends and family but they are also having difficulty with everything that has happened. Gladly I’m still having some relief drawing every day. Thanks for those who started following my page by the way, I appreciate it ❤️ |

I hope sharing this gives some ease, but please let us know on Wednesday how you get on. I hope the team supporting you are people you trust, and while understandably it will be challenging for your friends and family - they will just as much want to see you well and thriving and I hope you are feeling this way in your relationship with them. Nothing about this is your fault. Last edited by Bashar; 21-06-24 at 16:43. |

@malfernik: I think Bashar is giving some good advice.
I think mental health care has come a very long way in their ability to diagnose and treat illness, and of course, wanting to feel better is a big step on the path to improvement. Just a couple more days till Douglas comes home and we head to Wisconsin in our Airstream for 3 weeks. I'll have all 3 of my chicks under my wing for a couple of days, and I can promise you there's nothing that relaxes you like having all your kids within reach. |
