Yes she was killed. There was going to be a kiosk where you could buy magazines. In one of them would be information about Carvier's murder.

I mean, at that time Karel knew, Lara will go after the painting... (that's how Lara works) Anyway, I have question too: In the Strahov Lara shuts down the power, later in the biodome overwatches Eckhardt and co. So, Eckhardt asks Muller it is his fault or not. I wonder what he coud have made, to suspect him... (not to mention he killed Boaz out of anger...) Any info on Muller? Was he worked with Karel and Boaz? |

Carvier meant to call the police, probably tell them all the details to capture Lara which could have make it difficult for to stay out, away from the police, and consequently it could have stopped her from doing any research and finding the paintings. I think Karel just wanted her to find the paintings for him because he saw some potential in her.
And well, at the end of the game, when Karel meets Lara (which wasn't meant to be the first time), it looks like he had some sympathy for her, admiration, or something, I mean he did not have an aggressive attitude towards her, no scorn. In French, we have two ways to say "You", an informal one, that you use with your friends, family, people you know we'll enough, and a formal one, that you use by default when meeting someone (except children). And in that scene, Lara was talking to Karel in an informal way, like when she was talking to Werner (Jean-Yves too, but that was in TR4). He also offers her the chance to rule on the world he's trying to create, which is quite something big. So yeah, basically I think Karel wanted to prevent Lara from having any problem, and Carvier could have been one. Last edited by Joey79100; 20-03-17 at 17:15. |

^ This would have made sense if police was of any danger to the Cabal, which wasn't the case here. As we know from Murti's files, the Cabal had contacts with police and infact forced them to frame Lara for murder. According to Murti's documents police even faked evidence in order to make Lara look guilty.
The reason why Karel killed Carvier was because she was a loose end. I don't know if Eckhardt really cared about tidying up his dirty business, but Karel was very strict about it. That's why Werner Von Croy was killed. He wasn't needed anymore and he knew too much. Carvier was killed for the same reason. |

I always get confused at how Bouchard died. Considering he wasn't burned(?) like Luddick and never had his intestines thrown on the wall like Von Croy. He justs flops on the ground and you steal his keys

I'd love to play through this game again soon but I don't want to ruin my opinion on it

I'm thinking the monstrum killed bouchard off and put him in the closet.
