I disagree with the resident evil titles actually. I felt multiplayer was handled very well in 6 but less so in 5.

I actually agree with multiplayer being shoved into single player games. It's annoying and really just gets in the way sometimes. There is a reason why we have multiple genres in gaming. Let us single player folks have our single player gamer games.

The same goes for difficulty, don't make everything pander to everyone
From Software has the right attitude in that they respect their vision and that there are multiple genres of games to play. Your not going to like everything out there so why make everything cater to you?

Wasn't there at least one Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider game with multiplayer? I think it was the reboot, but I'm not sure. Bizarrely stupid idea.

Edit: Speaking of dumb decisions, I wrote "Core Design" when I meant "Crystal Dynamics" here. Sorry for the confusion!

Eidos handling Tomb Raider to Crystal Dynamics and firing Core was a pretty dumb decision.

Eidos making Crystal pump out the LAU trilogy in three years was a very dumb decision.

Making games as a service. It's a huge red flag that just screams "don't buy me".

Just like Eidos making Core pump out the first five classics per annum, along with Angel of Darkness’ rushed-unplayable-PS2 release... What a dumb company! At least SE gives time to CD/EM to renovate things.

1) Xbox exclusive TRU DLC... still after 10 years
2) Definitive Edition not coming to PCs
3) Xbox timed-exclusivity of ROTTR (what were they thinking?)
... et cetera
