There's fans of the reboot as well but they have flew away because the games they like are constently attacked and their tastes criticised. Not the best thing to do when you are a community IMO.
This place is nowaday mostly an echo chamber for purists (and transphobics and lesbophobic as well). Too bad you can't have a choice by era it's much more interesting to see the direction peoples prefer. ^^ Last edited by Ellioft; 01-11-24 at 17:17. |

I thought long and hard about the answer to this great question, and I can conclude that I have no ****ing idea.

I'll just say it - yup, it's Angel of Darkness.
I should probably say TR4 since it's a complete game, but AOD will always have a very special place in my heart and it's still my favorite to this day. It was actually my very first Tomb Raider, I went backwards from there later to play the rest of the classics. At the time, I suppose I was just very patient with it. Nothing back then particularly felt "off" to me. I was drawn in to the gripping storyline from the start. And while the gameplay did feel a bit rigid to me, I was playing on PS2 then so the issues were far less prevalent compared to PC. It was only years later I learned how much it was hated and everything that went on behind the scenes. But yeah, still my favorite. And I'm hoping the remaster turns out to be as great as we're hoping, having AOD finally be what it was supposed to be more or less would be a dream come true. |
