Professional JavaScript For Web Developers, 2nd Edition
The 4th edition ruined the book. I have to go back to the 2nd edition. |

This thread.
To post a more serious response, the last time I committed myself to reading was back in 2020-2021 when I read the Harry Potter series for the very first time. To be honest, I'm not really one for reading. My reading ability is less advanced than the average person's. I think that I was someone who naturally struggled with reading, and the fact that I've not done a great amount of it has probably resulted in my ability not developing much. I tend to only read if I'm in a position where I don't really have anything else to do; there are too many other things that I prefer doing which I will do instead of reading if such things are available. |

So we are not you, or we are not me, or we could be whoever we want to be, that's the internet for you In fact maybe Perryloo who is myself does not exist, I am not who I am, I am not in the UK. Come to think of it I might not be in this world, and everything I say must be taken with a pinch of salt or possibly the opposite. Yes, the truth is out there, maybe |

I'm about to start M.R. Carey's Infinity Gate. He's a great author of speculative fiction most famous for The Girl with All the Gifts.
I'm really loving the Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovitch. Sort of Harry Potter, only if Harry Potter worked for a secret division of the Metropolitan Police and had a more than passing interest in architecture. It's great fun. |

I'll be honest, I'm not much of a reader but I've always wanted to get around to reading the source material after seeing some of the Harry Potter movies as a kid. Within the past 2 and a half weeks I've found myself going through both Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets. Currently reading Prisoner of Azkaban.

Stranger Things, Suspicious Minds. Gwenda Bond. This is the first official novel and it works as a prequel. It follows Terry and a few other university students as they are signed on for experiments at Hawkins Lab. It's not long before the group begin to question what is really going on. I recommend to anyone who is a fan of the show.

Just started Holly, by Stephen King. I fell in love with Holly Gibley in Mr. Mercedes, and have loved every outing since.
Just finished "Hollow Kingdom" and "Feral Creatures" by Kira Jane Buxton. If you like post-apocalyptic adventures, this is is told by a crow. |
