Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run
The Great Wall:
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWY_R-6NBB8 Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWY_...WkQTCUBuJSH2_6 This is a Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run, where I have to complete the whole of Tomb Raider 2 while only performing mandatory kills, collecting all of the secrets and not using any glitches. In this video I complete The Great Wall, the first level of the China section and first level of the entire game. There were no mandatory kills in this level and I was successful with not killing any enemies who didn't need to be killed and therefore my number of kills begins at zero. I collected all of the secrets and didn't use any glitches. During 2:03-4:27 I tried my best to lure away the crows and spiders in order to try and proceed while sustaining minimal health loss. Being on top the block at 4:59 is a safety spot from the enemies. I then shot the enemies with the intention of getting them to run off so that I could move the block while hopefully losing minimal health. This is not my first Pacifist Challenge for a Tomb Raider game. In fact, I have done the following Pacifist Challenges for the following Tomb Raider games: Tomb Raider 1 Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_efS..._hj8Hh&index=1 Tomb Raider 1 Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDvZ...98AP3D12jzLhiR Tomb Raider 2 Semi-Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJIO...81BtxZ&index=1 Tomb Raider 2 Full Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeQZ...UYBMdI&index=1 Tomb Raider 2 Secrets No Kills Redo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtEb...sZ0_gSgHxykbl4 Tomb Raider 2 Glitchless No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrME...IrSbpV&index=1 Tomb Raider 3 No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qxjs...DmYV-R&index=1 Tomb Raider 3 Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr4b...SrWJk3&index=1 Tomb Raider 3 Secrets No Kills Redo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJno...0cZ6aw&index=1 Tomb Raider 3 Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJpP...Ue1w27R34t5KUS Tomb Raider Last Revelation Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPtH...WYZQdN&index=1 Tomb Raider Chronicles Glitchless Secrets No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSLQ...RQ5PYV&index=1 Tomb Raider Angel Of Darkness Glitchless No Kills Run: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcCv...hU6i2l&index=1 I've also done a load of random Tomb Raider videos, featuring glitches, discoveries, entertaining video clips and other content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBT5...0o_tnq&index=1 |

Good to see you back in the forums Greenapple. Weren't you going to do a pacifist run for the original Tomb Raider?

Nice!
Sorry to go off topic, but has anyone ever done an "all-kills" TR2 run? Tried to find one the other day but couldn't, but surely someone has? |

I collected all of the secrets and didn't use any glitches. At the beginning I tried luring the dogs away so that I could proceed with the first part of the level while hopefully not getting attacked by the dogs. The jump at 2:00 was a handy shortcut which also saved me from having to cross paths with another dog. Going onto the tile at 5:46 was all that was necessary for opening the door at the end of the level. By swimming under the door at 5:49 instead of exiting by going over the ramp the door at the end remained open permanently, saving me from a lot of trouble. Quote:
Thanks. People have completed TR2 100%. This means completing the game while collecting every secret, collecting every pickup and killing every enemy. There are in fact 100% speedruns for this game; so abiding by those restrictions while also trying to complete the game as quickly as possible. |

Ah, that explains why you're not doing the TR1 run. Have fun with TR 2.

Bartoli's Hideout:
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAbjmlBKoQs Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWY_...WkQTCUBuJSH2_6 There were no mandatory kills in this level and I was successful with not killing any enemies who didn't need to be killed and therefore my number of kills remains at zero. I collected all of the secrets and didn't use any glitches. At the beginning of the level I lured the rats and batsmen in such a way where I was able to enter through the door at 3:08 with one of the gunmen not becoming active due to the game only being able to have five active enemies at once. One of the gunmen was initially active but I shot him to make him run around instead of shooting at me. The tactics with the rats and batsmen enabled me to pull the switch at 3:38 and collect the items at 4:35 without any gunmen pursuing me. 4:05 was a safe spot from enemies, providing that the window didn't get broken. I managed to see off the dogs so that I was able to collect the items at 4:35 without taking damage. I then lured the dogs batsmen and rats towards the ladder that I grabbed at 5:59 in order for their to be five active enemies underneath me so that no gunmen were active at that point. I was then able to climb some of the ladder before a gunman became active and started shooting at me. At 7:23 I dropped down in a way where I didn't sustain health loss. 7:37 was a safe spot which enabled me to pull the switch at 8:43 without taking damage with the right techniques being used. I then returned to the safe spot and went about things in a way where I collected the silver secret without taking damage. The area at 10:22 was guaranteed to be a problem, and I had to really go around the houses in order to move the block at 10:48 and 10:55 while taking as little damage as realistically possible. The area at 11:35 certainly has the potential to make a nuisance of itself, but I shot the gunman accordingly to strengthen my chances of proceeding while hopefully not taking too much damage. I also dropped down to the Library Key at 12:59 in such a way where I didn't need to alter the positioning of the lights. The best way to leave this area was by jumping over the fire at 13:21 and down the trapdoor into the water. The last hurdle was the end of the level where I had to be cautious of the two gunmen, as well as the batsman. I chose not to pull up at 15:25 and to shimmy along instead because the gunmen can shoot at you when you are on that ledge. However, I shimmied along so that I would be safe when pulling up. Quote:

100% kills isn't possible as the eels in the Maria Doria levels are invincible.

I collected all of the secrets and didn't use any glitches. I went about the jump at 1:40 in such a way where I didn't lose health from the fall. I tried to shoot the gunman at 2:49 as a way of making him run around, reducing the chances of him shooting at me but I didn't manage to get any shots at him. I did shoot a different gunman at 4:37 to make him run off, and this I was successful with. The drop at 4:52 was a handy shortcut, as was the jump at 5:36. I avoided going to the right at 6:00 to delay the triggering of a dog, although the dog was eventually triggered at 13:18. Quote:
I don't think that they would count though, considering that they aren't killable. |
