I Did An IQ Test Earlier This Year (And Miraculously, I Have An Average IQ!)
Earlier in the year I did an IQ Test at my hospital after I requested to do one. The reason why I requested to do an IQ Test is because I had concerns regarding my intelligence; I thought that I was of low intelligence. I do still consider myself to be of low intelligence despite the fact that the results of my IQ Test suggest that I'm of average intelligence.
The name of the specific IQ Test that I did is "WAIS-IV". It's broken down into 4 categories, and each of those categories has 2-3 rounds. Each round typically involves answering questions, explaining information or completing tasks. The 4 categories and what they include: Verbal Comprehension Index Scale (Similarities) (Vocabulary) (Information) Perceptual Reasoning Index Scale (Block Design) (Matrix Reasoning) (Visual Puzzles) Working Memory Index Scale (Digit Span) (Arithmetic) Processing Speed Index Scale (Symbol Search) (Coding) The different IQ ranges: 130+ (Very Superior) 120-129 (Superior) 110-119 (High Average) 90-109 (Average) 80-89 (Low Average) 70-79 (Borderline) 69 and below (Extremely Low) My results from the IQ Test: Verbal Comprehension Index Scale: 102 (Average) Perceptual Reasoning Index Scale: 90 (Average) Working Memory Index Scale: 133 (Very Superior) Processing Speed Index Scale: 86 (Low Average) Full Scale IQ: 102 (Average) I don't know if anybody here has any interest in IQ Tests or any experience with them. If you do have anything that you'd like to say then you are welcome to speak up. If you have any questions regarding my IQ Test (or IQ Tests in general) that I haven't covered in this thread then you can ask me and I'll respond if I can be bothered to. |

Way back when I was 12 or 13, I had an IQ test and I remember scoring a bit above average.
Honestly I've got to say that everyone is smart in their own way. |

I agree everyone is smart in their own ways that cant be determined in a test. I think we did an IQ test in elementary school but it was so long ago i don't remember what the score was.

I always thought IQ tests were a bit of a sham though, the only thing they measure is how well you can solve an IQ test and don't really translate into reality, especially if you are accustomed to the logic behind these tests and have practiced a bunch at solving them, you can game the system by a lot. And also I'm uncomfortable assigning anyones intelligence a cold hard number. |

To everyone on this forum who is smarter than me (which is most of you): (Hopefully you're now of equal intelligence to me after that quality head bashing. ) |

If two tests give different results, then at least one is wrong. A scientific thing must be able to tell which is wrong.
