Move along, ma chère
Hey everyone!
I've already posted in a few threads, but I guess a proper introduction wouldn’t hurt… Nice to meet you, fellow Raiders! I’m Nicolas, but you can call me Nico. I’m a 28-year-old man from France. Yes, I was born in 1996—the same year Tomb Raider was released—which means two masterpieces came into the world that year. Some of the French members here may already know me, as I used to be pretty active on a French-speaking forum/website back when I was still an innocent teenager. Not that I'm not innocent anymore. Just not a teenager anymore. (also not innocent) By day, I’m a freelance writer, and by night, an avid and passionate gamer. I mainly enjoy adventure (obviously), platform, survival horror, and narrative-driven solo video games. As for my favorite Tomb Raider games from each era: TR3, Legend, and Rise. I don’t really take sides in the eternal Core vs. Crystal debate, though I have to admit that Core’s original Lara remains my favorite incarnation of the character. I’ve been a bit skeptical of the direction she’s been heading in recent years, but I’m cautiously optimistic about the "Unified" era. I genuinely hope the next mainline game—and the Tomb Raider brand as a whole—is a success. I just hope the nods to Classic Lara in the upcoming games are more than just easter eggs, but actual elements of her character. I guess we’ll have to wait and see! Anyway, enough about Lara—back to me! Although there’s not much else to add, really. I’m the proud owner of a dog () and the happy husband of a man () whom I had the joy of introducing to the remasters this year! That’s all for now. The rest… well, you’ll just have to wait and see. |

Welcome to the forum.
Being French is a success in my eyes. It could be a lot worse; you could have the misfortune of being British (English) like me. Nothing is worse than being British, especially English. |

I actually find French to be a very therapeutic language to listen to.

It must be a discrimination. There's no sign for hetero.
