Love the music in this game

Was the game the sealed my fate as a TR fan

Least Favorite: Shadow

Puzzles and bigger tombs are a plus

Water graphics and underwater swimming.

On a high note, the Tsunami is my favorite thing from the reboot. The music that starts playing when your jumping from sign post to post and running up poles is amazing.
You’re actually supposed to say three things you don’t like about your favorite TR game, not positive things.

Oh oops

Alright let me retry

Favorite: Tomb Raider 3

Textures aren't placed correctly causing some environments, especially water, to look like a quilt.

Troll deaths like the medipack in the hut

Some levels are too dark and require the use of too many flares

Least Favorite: Shadow

Water graphics and underwater swimming.

Favourite: TR: AoD

-slow, tankish controls
-Parisian ghetto is a sin. Too big and empty, and loading screens at every corner.
- unfinished (storywise, gampley wise and technically speaking too)

Least favourite: TR: Underworld

-interesting (still badly executed) north mithology
-atmospheric levels
-sinking ship level

Favorite: TR2
- Excessive combat
- Not a whole lot of puzzles
- Tombs? Where?

Least favorite: Underworld
- Action sequences are pretty fun
- Thailand is really pretty and atmospheric
- Motorbike that allows you to drive around a level instead of just straightforward like in Legend

My favorite...Let me choose Shadow, for now
- Sometimes the graphics looks off
- It could've used some transitions between several animations, and they could've been more polished. (Also why does her several gears just disappear? like the bow)
- DLCs could be better and longer

My least favorite... TRAOD
+ The general direction (how Lara looked, level design, idk) was somewhat good
+ Liked the duals
+ I'm not strong enough

Favourite: TR2
- Like everyone said, too many human enemies where there shouldnt be. Especially in the Maria Doria, having enemies with clubs and tank tops and jeans in a sunken ship is a bit too unrealistic. Fewer enemies and correctly dressed would be better.
- Dragon fight. While the idea is awesome, I feel the combat itself is very easy. This extends to almost every boss battle in the series, maybe excepting TR3 where they involve platforming and puzzle too. I dont like the combat in the classics anyway, is the only thing the Reboot did better.
- Marco Bartoli isnt interesting. I didnt even knew he had a name until I came to this forum.

Worst: TR2013

- the combat is really improved. For the first time in the franchise, it is fun to fight. Some of the fights are really cool, like the one with the two armored bosses in the burning temple. The burning temple itself is really good.
- the set pieces ideas are nice, tho they are like... It is imposible to die in one of those. But they are nicely done.
- the ending is great. Too bad they spoiled it by not giving Lara the duals in the following games, but the scene itself screams "NOW IM LARA CROFT".

*bonus: some people take it too seriously, but the line "I hate tombs" really is one of the highlights in the franchise. I really loved when she said it, like "gurl, you know nothing about what is coming". It was lighthearted, it was ironic, it was sassy.

Cool thread Chamayoo

My favourite Tomb Raider is TR III!

Some things I do not really like about it are..:
  • Uzi's were almost rendered useless
  • Sometimes dialogue was hard to understand, partly due to very specific dialects.
  • New game + is glitched which makes it redundant

My least favourite Tomb Raider is Rise of the Tomb Raider!

I don't actually dislike it that much but I suppose it's my least favourite. Things that I really do like about it though are:
  • The game looks astounding, if your computer can run it all maxed out.
  • Return of animal enemies
  • Really cool tombs accompanied with a lovely soundtrack
