Arrow Ramadan Kareem!

Been almost a whole week into the Month of Ramadan now so this is obviously a belated greeting but a very Happy Ramadan to all; Particularly towards my fellow Muslim Brothers and Sisters .

How are you guys doing BTW? Do you find that fasting is getting easier the older you get or is it getting harder for you?

As you get older, all your bodily processes start to slow down, so of course you are not going to feel the keenness of hunger that a younger person does.

It's that disgusting time of the year again. I was at Burger King yesterday, finished my meal but there was still some drink left, I wanted to drink it on the way as I walk home, but I was seriously anxious and couldn't enjoy it so I drank it all at once and threw away the case immediately, becasue I could've beaten up on the street by m*slims for eating in public. It's so common in Turkey that one website started a poll here where people vote in which city they think it will happen firstly this year, LOL! (Hey I know it's embarrassing that I live in turkey, don't blame me for my country I didn't choose it okay?!) God I just hate religions

Happy Ramadan to all who participate. May hat is off to you. It can't be easy.

Ryan91, I too would be very frustrated by self-appointed piety police, but there's no need to insult people at TRF because of them.

Why the hell would Muslims beat you up for eating in public, if you are obviously NOT of their faith?

I'd like to see them try that **** in the USA.

Yes, in the US we just pass laws to enforce religious beliefs.

This thread is meant as a happy religious greeting, not as a complaint thread. Let's try to stay on topic?

Yeah I don't know why this is being derailed either. I find the extreme fasting practice dumb too if I'm being honest, but if you celebrate the month in any way (I know not every practicing Muslim actually fasts) then hey wishing you a good month.

I'd post a "happy hunger games" gif but I think I did that last year IIRC

You're willingly putting yourself into that position to essentially make your heart bigger for those who don't have a choice. Beyond the less relatable "closer to god" stuff it's probably the most wholesome thing any religion still practaces today.

I got nothing but respect for that.
