A little late, but loved all the cat pictures. My one cat Misty will be 18 on August 24th. I call her my “fake Russian Blue”.

Atacama Desert in Chile. In years when the rainfall is unusually high, this happens. 😍 |

Photograph taken 30 years ago in Scotland. This picture was given to a Scottish newspaper who informed the UK Ministry of Defence, who then classified the image and it was never printed in the newspaper. Typically items classified in this way are declassified and released to the public after 30 years, but the MOD wants the names of the witnesses sealed for a further 54 years — until 2076 — because of 'privacy concerns' and has not released the photograph. Luckily, the RAF officer sent to interview the witnesses who took the photo kept his own copy and at the age of 83 has released it publicly. The question is - what is it? Some believe it could be the Aurora spy plane but it doesn't look like that to me and apparently the witnesses reported it to be hovering and completely silent, unlike the RAF plane seen in the picture which circled the strange object. Some also believe it's an optical illusion of a small island in the middle of a lake with a the reflection of a plane flying overhead. Which I must admit, it does look like that - with a few tweaks.
