Honey chill. It's unification, it means to unify different things. We know we won't get the exact same classic Lara and looking at the remasters sales I don't think anyone is.

She signed up for several games, sure, but it's clear CD had no concrete plan on how Lara would grow beyond the first one. If you recall Rhianna's interviews, she initially wanted Rise to be a PTSD story and was firmly against the inclusion of Lara's father, and the CGI trailer showed us as much – Lara's demeanour seemed more in line with the ending of TR2013. For all we know, the third game could've involved a time skip to Lara wielding duals and wearing her OG outfit, but alas, they're still drawing things out after the trilogy is over.


EDIT: Btw, I wonder what kind of music the anime will include. Will it all be pulled from the existing Reboot soundtracks, or maybe we'll get some new arrangements or even classic tunes? Perhaps even a few fresh compositions?

Regarding whether the trilogy was planned, I'm pretty sure they planned Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider around the same time. I’m not really sure what happened with Shadow of the Tomb Raider since a lot went on between Rise and Shadow, but I’m sure Rise was already in production before Tomb Raider (2013) was even released this early art bible gives me this feeling that they made them almost around the same time

Kitezh was definitely planned before TR2013 because it's mentioned in the journal Lara holds during the ending. At a quick glance, the art bible goes over the various story beats, but it doesn't provide much detail regarding Lara herself. Her personality still could've been shaped into anything at that point.

IIRC they hired a new composer, I don't remember if they reveal her name, I just know it is a woman. So I guess it will be 100% original soundtrack, but it could have some hints to previous historic tracks

The issues with how the trilogy was executed doesn’t mean the trilogy was not planned in the first place. Again, as Camilla stated, she knew from the beginning they’d do a trilogy. It doesn’t get more clear and direct that that. Execution is a different topic
