It’s surreal to see that Parisian Backstreets area fully implemented and without gaping holes in it. Thank you for continuing to improve the game

It’s shaping up to be what it was always meant to be.

I do have have a question: Are you going to put back the gate at the top of the stairs where the video ended? I believe the purpose of the strength upgrade was to use it at the drainpipe next to the scaffholding.

And by the way have you managed to get the bin hiding animations to work?

Couple of troubleshooting questions!

1) I don't have the Relative Camera option to toggle in my General tab. What am I doing wrong?

2) Is there a way to enable the D-Pad controls? If I am gonna be tanking it due to no Relative Cam option, I find it easier to control with the D-Pad enabled

Thanks!!

1) The way the new control schemes are enabled has been changed in the latest update. There's no longer an option to tick it in the launcher. Instead, you go to the Options menu in-game, and select it from there. And whatever you pick is saved to your save file and it also tells you which you currently have activated now as well!

2) I'm guessing you're referring to tank controls here, so in your case you'd want to choose that option in Options. If I recall correctly, it should be the first choice among the three available.

I think I was able to figure it out thanks to your answers! I am to manipulate a 360-degree camera I think that's to changing to the third option in Screen Format in-game It threw me a little, cos the options looked vague to me is all! It helps allay the jankiness with original tank controls

Also just loving it so far. The OST makes my heart swell and gives me chills, and I can already notice new content just by intuition of having played the original an awful lot those many years ago

Can't believe I've the option to don Lara's sunglasses, and the many other thoughtful and pleasantly surprising touches!

Thanks so much guys!

Talking Justice for AOD Lara!

Update Post:

I'm only in the Parisian Ghetto, but I can absolutely definitively state that this is the ONLY way to play AOD in its most complete form (+ the collaborative efforts with Definitive Edition! Amazing you guys teamed up and work together! ).

For curiosity and comparison's sake for those wanting a more comprehensive look into how unfinished, yet full-to-bursting of potential AOD was, AOD should be played vanilla, and then played with the Restoration Project mod.

Just the amount of context that has been added through this project already has me like, "OHHH, this is SO much better and makes SO much more sense!"

It is shocking how much goodness us fans missed out on. And I am only on the Parisian Ghetto!!!

Like, Lara talks about using the punchbag in Aicard's Church, as a quick tutorial on CQC! WE NEVER HAD THAT!! And the radio bulletin! Amongst loads of other QOL touches!

I just.. I am both SPEECHLESS and in EMOTIVE AWE at how life-enhancing this is for AOD fans, and newcomers.

Is there a way us fans could help support the project?

I know I am just gushing about this, but wow, thank you guys SO much, this feels like a standalone mod.

Right, back to playing -- AOD weekend!

Literally crying. Feel surreal watching Paris Backstreets full without missing textures and invisible objects in the back area...
You're a legend, reborninshadow.
