Why do the enemies attack you in Antarctica when they're working for Willard, whom you're supposed to be meeting to give the artefacts to?

Engine design.
Enemies are designed to attack you Some are designed to befriend you, unless you turn on them. Its unnescessary to try and make reasoning - it was, 1998 ![]() ![]() |

True, They could have had polar bears as enemies for that level instead, with Willard's men trying to fight them off.

Eg the almost constant wonder of, did Pierre die in TR1 or TR5? Core and Eidos don't even know - they're not fortune tellers. They couldn't have predicted he would return 5 games later when they were designing TR1 in 1995 hahaha. Alot of it remains open ended, floating timeline and sometimes purely nonsensical. That's why we love Tomb Raider. |

She probably did! But many fans want MOAR!! moar that doesnt always exist. But I guess we can dream hah
I always took it as per official displays; Chronicles trailer shows Rome as 1989. Tr1 was labelled present day 1996. Therefore he really dies in Greece. I consider this - canon - as it was done BY the designers. But them told this is wrong- and that it was explained in a 2006 book (not by) core design? That sounds like a 10yr later decision for an explanation imo haha. Last edited by mizuno_suisei; 20-08-21 at 06:40. |

Yes but CORE seemed to have put a lot of effort into LR since it was their attempt at a final game for the time. Chronicles was ordered as a suprise alongside AOD so they deffo rushed Chronicles a lot more than LR. I mean look at the lengths of each game
