Around 30-35 times. It's been so long since I last played it, but I think I can still remember where every secret and collectable was located

I like replaying all the games + PC expansions in full once every couple of years usually upping the difficulty in some way to keep them feeling fresh. With that gap I've often forgotten certain sections and if you do pistols only, all pickups, no medipacks, minimum damage or mix up combinations of those criteria you have to play them differently each time.

So I'd guess I've completed TR1 only 10 times, maybe less but many individual levels I've spent countless hours playing around in or simply redoing them for fun because I have a spare half hour or more.

The replay value is crazy also, since there is so many ways you can challenge yourself personally, limiting certain items, setting a completion time or even the amount of jumps you are allowed to make and the list goes on.

Amount of jumps?

That's a new one. I may have to try it one day.

Trouble is, to create that challenge you would need to go over the entire area first to see the exact amount of jumps that have to be made in a single try to actually finish the level before you can set a number to challenge yourself with.

Then there is always the no enemy kills, which would exclude Larson in Tomb of Qualopec, Pierre in Tomb of Tihocan and the Legless Atlantean in The Great Pyramid as their deaths are required for game progression.

About 5-6 times. I struggle to play through it these days because it just bores me. Not to say that I don't love the game though.

Tried doing my own challenge on twitter for TR1 grabbing as little ledges as possible

I got around 12 and still narrowing it down

(I tell a lie, I checked my tally and it's 14 mandatory ledge grabs)

I have played TR1 countless times and will most likely keep playing it for years to come.

This is the game I finished most times - around 15. True classic and my first game on PlayStation.
