The Beginning
EDIT: GET THE DEMO HERE
There have been quite a lot of threads about this project, but none of them were started by me... Seeing that it's been almost 10 years since I started this project... I think I'd best create a thread here, if not to update its progress (which has been on hiatus for 2, 3 years now), then it's to share it with you guys. The Beginning was an idea of Lara's origin when she was 21, before the plane crash in the Himalayas. (This has NOTHING to do with the coming TR reboot, thank you very much :P) I have always intended The Beginning to be my best work, and a full experience, I have done a few pages of comic strips (sadly I lost it in a hard drive crash) based on a short story before the game's starting point written by a fellow ex-larashome member Tsveti. I never meant for it to never see the daylight, I blamed it to my current laptop which does not allow me to rotate rooms as smoothly as it used to be before I switched... that and now that I have a job in the Motion Graphics industry it just took up a lot of my time, while learning a lot of 3D at the same time, makes me feel my levels were really outdated. I just had a little dozy-through my levels to show you the areas I was quite happy with. It's still coming soon... Final outfit by Po Yu: No Gear In Full Gear I also promised to post the comics I made years and years ago... Last edited by GeckoKid; 26-01-12 at 13:13. |

I don't know why but I especially love the second one. It looks so strange and almost like something you would expect on a space-ship but it still somehow manages to look ancient. It's pretty fascinating IMO.
I'd imagine patience, attention to detail and lots of hard work. A healthy amount of skill won't do any harm, either, of course . Last edited by Zebra; 20-02-11 at 02:01. |

Never seen these screens i had joined the forums before i had heard of this, so awhile later i started seeing videos and screenshots from this project but never commented on it.
-- Amazing detail looks like you put alot of work into every corner to the level hehe. I hope you get time to finish the level sometime! |
