Earlier Build (2011) screenshots/UI

I was searching for UI ideas because I'm currently making a game with my team from my college and I found those early UI screenshots in a page of a developer that worked for Crystal Dynamics .

The intersting part here is that it shows that the game had a survival system iplemented but in the final game there is nowhere to be found . It also shows the time right down of the day .

Map of the game:

It's intersting that Lara in this build is sitting on the ground checking the map.

Also if you look closely in this screenshot you will see that the map (Which in my opinion looks better here) in the left where it says "Mountain Village " has a challenge / mission that says "Castaways helped" also some food/plant caches .

If you look closely at the Bottom Left of the screenshot it says "NEW DLC 12-11-2011" But that may be there as a way of seeing how information will apear .

This is another intersting screenshot that says something about Emelia Erheart which we saw in the CGI ROTTR trailer back in 2015 before E3 . I can't understand the written language though. It will be cool if anyone that understands what it says can help with it .

It's Latin, but I think it's one of those auto-generated Lorem ipsum texts. You could try translating it, but it wouldn't make any sense at all

Edit: oh yep, it even starts with "Lorem ipsum" on the left under the heading. It's definitely just a placeholder.

I knew about the day time, it was considered as chapters earlier, I remember reading that in the Game Informer issue, December 2010.

Oh okay, I see ! I tried to translate it before in google tranlate but it didn't make any sense and I thought that it was just google translate's fault lol

I'd loved to see the days in which everything takes place. I also love the screenshot where Lara is looking at the map. Pretty cool.

I have a lot of respect for this game. It really was an amazing experience.

The main screen changed because it wasn't compatible with a multiple save slots system.

Also, I think they removed the integrated map screen (the one with Lara still visible) because it would have been so silly to make Lara sit during a gun fight

How well they fit does.
