Aaah, lol funny, I've downloaded your textures before, they looked really good! About half an hour ago I remade the outside brick textures, once again, as identical as possible. I really almost built the wall brick by brick because I wanted it too look exactly the same. I'll post pics of the new front of the house in The Sims 3 tomorrow in the TRIII section.

Here's a comparison for the bricks texture. Oh I so love to see these in HD with exactly the same feeling the original textures had ^^

These look great!
Congrats on making these, I could just imagine someone replacing the original textures in TR3 with these, it would look beautiful!
But, well done and congrats. I'm currently working on a HD mod for TR4 myself and I'm looking for a texture maker to make HD textures so if you want to help please comment on my thread below, so far, I have a HD Lara in the game. If you want have a look, here is the link: http://www.tombraiderforums.com/showthread.php?t=189189 |

thanks
well: - take the original texture, throw it into Photoshop. - scale it to 256x256, which I use as the 'blueprint'. - Look for images/textures on google that look somewhat usable - throw them all together in one PSD. - scale/rotate/skew them to the right size - recolor the texture - arange them in a usable way - ALOT of deleting, cutting, pasting - alot of dedication and perfectionistic editing. - comparing it with the original texture the WHOLE time, - sometimes overlaying the original texture, sharpen it, and set the opacity very low, so that some of the original coloring is subtly projected on the new texture. and that's about it. In case of the brick wall texture, i've almost literally built that one brick by brick so it would have the same brick structure as the original texture. Last edited by TRJTA; 11-06-12 at 20:18. |
