URaider - Unity Tomb Raider Framework
It is with great excitement that I am announcing what I intend to be a modern-day TRLE substitute for Unity. URaider will be a full-blown Tomb Raider game framework for Unity that will have everything you'd expect from a pre-2013 Tomb Raider game: movement, climbing, swimming, inventory, doors, switches, etc... Why Unity over UE4? C# is an easier language for beginners to learn, so it should be more widely accessible to the fan community. As well as this, Unity provides an absolutely FANTASTIC animation re-targetting system that allows Lara models to be changed within minutes. Beta Video: As you can see the framework will also include automatic ledge targetting like LAU. It looks slightly off in the video, but this is not an issue with the framework. The grab animation from AOD is slightly higher than the reach animation, so you get that effect; I am working on a solution so Lara's hand aligns perfectly with the edge. Help Wanted: Animator - I have the game logic (tested and working) for jumping upwards and sideways to distant ledges, but I lack the animations for this. I just need someone who can produce these animations specifically... if not, I could do them myself, but it will be alot slower. Special Thanks: Nakamichi680 - Without the animation exporter I would be stuck! UPDATE: You can now download the beta. Oh wow! This looks great!
Actually I've tried making some kind of framework like this in the past too, but as I lacked experience and knowledge it's something I gave up on for now. I started making simple games instead to get to know the unity engine and C# better. I'll definetly keep an eye on this! |

What is there left to be implemented?

I would love to help you with animations Haven‘t done them for a long time, you can still see some videos of my work on my channel I think.
Anyway, if I could help you with that, please hit me up ^^ |
