Can't think of a worse hell LOL

The funny thing is, in America, once you get past a certain age, you really want 65 to come fast because the last thing you want is a serious health condition you have to gut your retirement for. You just really want Medicare to kick in.

What a depressing reality.

The amount of suffering people will inflict on themselves just so "they" don't get something is endless in America.

We can't go having Universal Healthcare cause our taxes will be high yet most people are having large chunks of their paychecks or having to pay large sums for health insurance anyway.

We have nice Big Oil retiree insurance and we pay $900 a month for it for two pretty healthy people.

And our assholes still pucker up anytime we have anything done because you still have no idea how much anything is going to cost. Everytime I see the doctor, I hear Clint Eastwood's, "Do ya feel lucky, punk?"

29, so another one in the 1995 box. Yes, that does mean I was very literally 11 years old when I joined this forum (in fact I hadn't even turned 11 yet, that was four months later ). The fact that my child self put themselves out there 18 years ago, and all of those growing pains are plain visible on the internet still, haunts me.

It’s awful the anxiety medical expenses bring to families in this country. I had a family member go through cancer treatments a few years ago. They had insurance through their job that covered most of the expenses yet they still received bills for the most nonsense stuff you could imagine. I hope someday we see universal healthcare happen in America.
