It does work though. Crypted or not.

When crypted, the image filename should start with an @.

Because I really don't like that one since it doesn't work properly on my computer and it adds a stupid delay. I like to save quickly.

For me is like this: It has a very long delay for the first pop up, but after that, it becomes faster in loading the image... maybe playing around with "Emergency Settings" solves the problem somehow... for me is set to Soft Full Screen...
Perhaps using SPF_PRELOAD_BKG_IMAGE would help?

Maybe I was recalling something wrong then... I will test it anyways...

Maybe...

EDIT:
OK!!! IT WORKS.
I'll correct my words then... Sorry!

But something cooler is that when it is crypted, it even takes much longer to be loaded... so I guess crypting the image for the savegame panel is not a very good idea after all, even with PRELOAD flag can not be fixed...

Even using a preloaded 45MB encrypted image the savegame panel pops up instantly. Probably depends on cpu and hard drive speeds.

I think what they mean is not how fast the image pops up but how fast you can save. It doesnt matter what cpu you are using the save system is delayed when using save panel. That means you can't press ctrl immedietely because it will not work, you've got to wait like 1 or 2 seconds... so thats why i also dont like this feature

Yes, you're right. That's a different issue.
