Who compiled that list? Anyone using it as a game guide would be woefully mislead.

Peru

Snakes (only in opening cutscene)
Bats
Dogs (Wolves)
Bears
Giant Lizard (There were crocodiles in the beta, but do they mean the raptors?)
Dinosaur (T-Rex and Raptors)
Larson

Graeco-Roman Level

Bats
Monkeys (Gorillas)
Lions
Shark or Eel (Not in the game)
Centaur
Pierre Dudont (Hilariously misspelled)
Seamonster (Not in the game)
(Rats missing from list)

Egypt

Pumas (Black Panthers, which are actually Leopards)
Crocodiles
Man Eating Plant (Not in Game)
Streaky Bacon Man (Mummified Mutant)
Skinned Centaur (Mummified Centaur)
(Mummified Flying Mutant missing from list)
Larson

Atlantis

(Fish in game files)
Mercenary 1 (Cowboy)
Mercenary 2 (Skater Kid)
Mercenary 3 (Bald Man)
Streaky Bacon Man (Skinned Mutant)
Skinned Centaur
Flying Skinned thing ('thing' was the best they could do? Not Mutant or Creature?)
Dino Warrior (Present in development isn't in the game)
Natla
Natla's Abortion (Torso Mutant)

It's a shame the Dino Warrior a.k.a Atlantean Rex never made it into the final but I suppose it would have been a bit repetitive as we had a Rex in The Lost Valley or either the idea of a Torso Atlantean or even Bacon Lara came along and replaced it further in development.

Personally I cannot take that whole list seriously, so I wouldn't dwell on it too much. It's most likely based on what Natla said during the cutscene. It's pretty hilarious, though.

But

Torso technically is an abortion. Its model shows hanging tissue from its lower torso, and is the only mutant that has what appears to be skin, as well as lacking a jaw, which would hint that there was more to be formed.

As to what made it hatch sooner.

- Lara trying to take out the Scion would cause a brief interruption of the system, and possible malfunction.

- The Torso being the first of its kind implies a lot of errors in its conception and development, so it would be an unstable creature from the start.

- The pyramid is not able to handle a massive creature.

Plot twist: they're referencing the swimming rats.

The sea monsters are probably the crocodiles.
