Default The tomb3 project

Hi everyone!
Today I am announcing a little project that has been in the works for a bit, a few knew this day was coming already, and here it is! the tomb3 project!

just like tomb5 and tomb4, it is a decompilation project that, first and foremost aims to document and preserve the original source code and assets of the game, and secondly, aims to provide bug fixes and gameplay improvements in many sections of the game.

We are fully open source, and our code can be used anywhere under the aforementioned license in the repository, along with credit

Check out the changelog for the full list of fixes and additions! Highlights include: PSX Bars, fixed bugs, properly scaled effects, and much more!

Grab it here: releases page

Please make sure to read the using guide, it has important info and answers to a lot of frequently asked questions. if you can't find your answer there, be sure to ask in here

few screens:

Happy Raiding!

Congrats for the release.
TR3 deserves all the love and care. Good luck with this project and I can't wait to see more of the (already exciting) tomb3.

I hope you don't mind extra feature requests so soon. This is probably a no-go, but I'll just ask it to get it out of the way. I've been using Tomb3main for the last several months and have gotten used to its jumping mechanics, to the point going back to vanilla feels a bit odd. Can those be implemented as an extra option?
note to self: RIP thing *SOB*

This makes me curious...tomb3main? Are you referring to arsunts quiet patch some time ago now? No idea it changed gameplay elements!

@mizuno_suisei

Nope, there's a tomb3main that was in the works several months ago by rr-.

The game is mostly playable, just the jump mechanics are different due to being incomplete and swan diving death isn't implemented. I'm not sure what else is still broken, but that's what I've been playing with the last several months.
