UE5 game: Tomb Raider: path of the black alchemist (AOD PT:II)
Hello Raiders!
I've been a fan of Lara Croft like you all since I was 8 years old (I'm 33 now). For a while now, I've been studying game development, and I've always enjoyed learning on the fly. I'm beginning to organize my largest personal project yet and I'd like to share it with you all my most personal and challenging project: creating the 2nd part of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness using Unreal Engine 5. This project is still in the organizational phase. It's possible I may only cover a part of the story. I would like to use the wonderful story from J.R. MILWARD's novel, but I need to confirm (I still need to obtain permission). I plan to use part of this project as my thesis. It will take me years to complete it fully, but I'm putting all my effort, money, and love into it. As a musician and producer, I will create a continuation of the soundtrack composed by Peter Conelly/Martin Ivenson. I'll strive to respect the atmosphere and spirit of the game as much as possible. Tomb Raider has always been an inspiration to me through fan art and the TRLE/NGLE world, and I hope to do it justice. This is just the beginning, and you have my commitment. Thank you for your time! Koldo. P.S. I've abandoned the other TRLE projects I mentioned here previously to focus on this project. Though there are resources from them that I'll utilize. I was looking for something else and accidentally stumbled onto this thread. I only just finished the AOD retelling that Jennifer Milward wrote and will probably dive into "The Path of the Black Alchemist" later this year or next year.
The fact that you are making a game based on the story that Milward wrote is very interesting to me and I'll have to keep an eye out for this project of yours. Hopefully you are still working on it. |

Thank you very much for your interest. I am currently studying 3D Animation and Video Game Design to take the project to a new level of quality. That is the reason I haven't released any content yet. Additionally, I am in Phase I - script and artistic concepts.
I will be sharing more information about the project as soon as I can. AOD will have a sequel! |

I've also considered doing a similar project (but on a smaller scale, with the longevity of TR Legend) using the tools I made to make the Unity Remake/Rebuild of Angel of Darkness for PSVita that I produced.
