The sale numbers are ok; should have been much better; but I am glad they are this way.

The game is selling good, but the studio needs to realize it's about time to become more creative

I hope that doesn't mean the next game will be even more classic-like

Just give me the confirmation that another Triple-A TR game is in development - with a release date set in 2-3 years - and I will dance around happily.
Classic-like or not - that, for me, will be a question for after the confirmation since I'm not part of the developer team. ^^

PS. Thanks for the sales information.

I dont want to burst anyones bubble, but those sales are not extrodinary.
Given that the marketing of this game already demanded 100 Million Dollars, we are not even break even at this point.
SE sales policy indicate a rather poor outcome, which explains the early discounts. Yes, discounts happen at some point but to me this seemed they acted out of desperation.

Anyway, the saving grace of this franchise is that it somehow manages to sell decently over a long time span and Christmas Sales are arround the corner which should also grant a boost.

In the end it comes down to SE if they see this franchise worth the investment.

To brake even they need 3.000.000 copies in worst case scenario.
Considering that those figures are only for D1, and digital sales not being included, it's not that bad IMHO.

Slightly OT: what I'm not understanding is Square Enix's reports about TR global sales.
I remember that I read somewhere last year that the whole TR franchise has sold more than 62 milion copies.
In their 2018 financial report it's written that TR has sold more than 67 milion units by the end of June 2018.

Is that possible? I mean, TR2013 and RotTR are probably carrying the franchise, but 5 milions in one year?
That sounds crazy to me.

Imagine the highest sales are the ones directly when a game comes out.
Imagine that Preorders also help further selling a product Day 1.
Imagine that other franchises did exactly that.

imagine thinking that the game will sell in the rest of its lifetime less than it sold in its first two days
imagine considering a game a success only if it replicated another game's mega success.
imagine being so hateful you start to spew non sense all the time.

You are literally the definition of nonsense. I can't help but laugh at your posts all the time.
