I really doubt we'll get another remake that fits into the timeline, and frankly I'd rather see new villains and characters rather than reused material (although Natla owns my ass). The Source was an interesting artefact, so it's a real shame it was just abandoned after Rise, like pretty much all plot points in the Reboot trilogy

I'm sorry, but why are people so keen to connect the reboot trilogy to the old games by shoe-horning in old enemies?

There may be a connection to the artefacts, there may not. There wasn't even an artefact connected to Himiko that we know of. The Devs chose not to reveal one nor an overall connection. Personally I think the Crystal seen in the first tomb of Shadow seemed very similar to the Divine Source, but Lara completely ignored it.

The Divine Source is a plot hole.
And it does not look like meteorite at all.

I see where you are coming from, but to me have 3 immortals are alittle to much. Also I feel out of those 3 Natla is the evil one, that would create a organization like Trinity.

Sadly, nothing in the Reboot is really elaborated on - and gets left to die - or become retconned and make plot holes in later games.

And for a trilogy where they are all meant to fit together - its just a shame
Yeah it's a real shame. All the games feel so isolated instead of a connected plot,

I don't think it's a plot whole not to elaborate on things not pertinent to the immediate story line. It would be like a TV series completely explaining everything in the first three episodes. There are also artifacts with links to ancient aliens in Shadow to stack on top of the ancient alien figure outside of Kitezh and the Divine Source not being divine. The Percy Fawcett story set in Shadow, if you google him, also indicates links to ancient aliens and Atlantis which was a strong motivator for him to search for the city.
